“You are the God who performs miracles; you display your power among the peoples" (Psalm 77: 14 NIV).

Author’s church WCBC supports book Launch.

A giant picture of the book was displayed on the big screen. Eileen Walkin was invited to tell the church

about her husband’s magnum opus which she did with clarity, joy and conviction. Standing beside her on

the pulpit and holding the book, Praying For Miracles, high up above his head in the presence of the whole

church congregation on Sunday 27 May 2007 at West Croydon Baptist Church (WCBC), Senior Pastor Rupert

Lazar commented: “I have not yet finished reading this very big book written by our brother Cardinal but

what I have read so far is found to be exciting and refreshing. We thank Cardinal for launching his book

here at WCBC. I fully recommend this book to all our members.” It was a magnificent performance.

Mrs Brown tells of happy ‘small miracle’

Mrs Brown is 70 years old. She wanted to move house probably for the last time in her life, therefore, finding the right type of accommodation was very important to her. Mrs Brown prayed and prayed to find a suitable house before selling her own home which she quickly got an offer for when placed on the market. Mrs Brown bought a copy of the book: Praying For Miracles.  This is her testimony: “I had to sell my house. And I have been praying very hard for some time to find the right type of accommodation (around £500,000) but could not find one. Now at last God has truly answered my prayers. I have found the exact type of home in the exact place that I wanted. God has truly and wonderfully blessed me with this small miracle.”

Mrs R. Brown, South London.  May 2007.

Praying For Miracles by Cardinal N. Walkin

GoodBookStall Review:

This book is a reasonably comprehensive look at the idea of miracles as portrayed in the Bible. The Bible study and analysis along with the work looking at the activity of the Holy Spirit is definitely intensive and somewhat heavy-going: a weighty book (and not just in terms of dimensions!). However though interesting I did have some problems with the sections of actual ‘praying for miracles’ and the justifications and proofs put forward in it for proving his miracle prayers worked . However it is a quite  interesting treatise on miracles nonetheless. Reviewer: Melanie Carroll (19/11/97).

South Norwood Baptist Church supports author: January 2008.

At Trinity Baptist Church (TBC): Strategic Leadership Conference held 15th – 20th January 2008 Senior Pastor Revd. Kingsley kindly recommended his congregation to buy copies of Praying For Miracles. Holding up the book in his hand in front of TBC audience he said, ‘For anyone who wants to know how to pray for miracles I strongly recommend this book, Praying For Miracles, by Cardinal N. Walkin of West Croydon Baptist Church (WCBC). This book is written in a clear easy-to-read style. Walkin prayed for London to win the 2012 Olympic Bid and his prayer is written in this book’. The impact of the conference was awesome. The visiting speakers were absolutely brilliant! (Key Scripture ref: Philippians 4:13) 16th January 2008

A Satisfied Reader.

Praying For Miracles
This is a well researched and exhaustive look at the Biblical record of miracles and the prayers that accompanied them. In his introduction the author claims that the church of today does not have the faith that will allow the Holy Spirit to perform miracles as in the days of the first disciples and that without the power of the Holy Spirit the church becomes a mere man made society. We are reminded that Jesus gave authority over unclean spirits, sickness and disease - and that there is no record that it has ever been withdrawn. We are further reminded that in our praying we must believe that God is answering our prayer and that we should give thanks to him before we have seen the answer to our prayer. The author rightly states that we must be thirsty and hungry for God's word every day and always. He then encourages the reader to be serious about reading the Bible and gives examples of his own reading practice. Overall, this is a timely reminder that God has not changed and that he still answers the prayers of his children. Roy Willis, Croydon, 20 January 2008

Dear Pastor Michael
PRAYING FOR MIRACLES
Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is with great
happiness that Eileen joins me in thanking you and Sister Mary for such
a warm reception on Sunday 2 March 2008, Mothers' Day at CEM. The
visiting speaker gave an inspiring exposition of many of the great
mothers of the Bible from Sarah (OT) to the Syro-Phoenician woman (NT).
I was overwhelmed when you invited me to stand before the audience as
you kindly, once again, held up my book, PRAYING FOR MIRACLES, whilst
urging all members of the church congregation to buy copies of it. If
its God's will we look forward to visiting you again some time soon. We
are praying for all at CEM. Many thanks God Bless you all.
